Rathfriland Rangers claimed a narrow victory over Oxford Sunnyside at Iveagh Park under the lights at Iveagh Park on Friday evening.
The winner came on 39 minutes for the County Down side when Ruari Fitzpatrick picked up the loose ball on the edge of the box and drilled a fierce shot low into the bottom corner out of Eoin Hughes' reach.
That victory moves Rathfriland up into fifth place in the Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League and within three points of Oxford Sunnyside who remain third ahead of Saturday's matches.
