WINNING START FOR HAUGHEY
Rathfriland Rangers began life under returning boss Ronnie Haughey on a winning note with a 3-0 defeat of PSNI at Iveagh Park.
Nigel Prentice opened the scoring after getting onto a long ball forward to cut in from the right side of the area and fire past Ryan Dalzell at the far post.
Rangers doubled their advantage six minutes from the break when the unfortunate Jack Graham headed into his own net whilst attempting to cut out Prentice's cross from wide on the right.
Matthew Holloway added a third on 53 minutes with a low finish from around 12 yards out ... and could have doubled his tally eight minutes from time only to see a spot-kick saved by the PSNI keeper.
