STUDENTS BAG SIX AT THE DUB
Queen's University swept to a crushing 6-1 defeat of Banbridge Town at The Dub.
Declan Martin opened the scoring on ten minutes after turning to fire home from 20 yards, with Ciaran O'Hare doubling up six minutes after that on the rebound after another Martin effort came back off the crossbar.
And the Students added to their advantage just sixty seconds later when Matthew Hughes played Ben Mulgrew through to finish well.
The scoring continued early in the second half after Leon Bonnes bundled the ball over the line from a corner, with Chris Middleton then adding a fifth just past the hour mark from the spot.
Sean og Gallagher grabbed a consolation for the visitors on 71 minutes but, with six minutes to go, Middleton doubled his tally with a rifled finish from the edge of the box.
