STUDENTS HIT BACK TO SECURE A POINT
Queen's University and Lisburn Distillery battled to a share of the spoils at The Dub.
The Whites might have moved in front on 11 minutes when Jack Berry had a go from distance only for the ball to strike the woodwork before keeper Nathan Kerr could gather as Ryan McNickle looked poised to turn home the rebound.
But the visitors did seize the advantage midway through the first half after a Dean Lewis corner was blocked only for the ball to fall for Jonathan Angus to fire into the net.
And they might have doubled their lead on the hour when presented with a spot-kick only for Kerr to do well to keep out a poor Gerard Storey penalty.
It proved to be a costly missed opportunity when, with nine minutes to go, Ben Mulgrew knocked home the equaliser for the Students with a finish into the bottom corner after the ball had come over from the left.
