SIX GOAL THRILLER AT THE DUB
Queen's University and Limavady United shared six goals in a hugely entertaining clash at The Dub.
The game got off to a blistering start with no fewer than four goals with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock.
The Students needed just 30 seconds to race into the lead when Stewart Nixon slotted past keeper Richard Purcell, but the Roesiders levelled on eight minutes courtesy of Alex Pomeroy's finish.
Nixon doubled up to restore home advantage with a header from Mark Anderson's cross on 11 minutes but, remarkably, United hit back again with Pomeroy's second of the afternoon - this time from the spot - just six minutes after that.
There was further drama on 35 minutes when Queen's were reduced to ten men following Anderson's dismissal for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity before, in first half stoppage time, Tiarnan Boorman fired the visitors in front for the first time.
The second half proved to be a much less eventful affair ... until the closing moments at least when Mikey Withers hit an 87th minute leveller for Queen's after heading home Chris Middleton's sublime cross.
