WHITES AND EAGLES DRAW A BLANK AT BALLYSKEAGH
Lisburn Distillery and Armagh City battled to a scoreless draw at Ballyskeagh.
Both sides had their chances during the opening 20 minutes with Marc McConnell seeing a decent chance deflected wide for the visitors while Joe Tully was thwarted by a goalline clearance at the other end.
Michael Gallagher then attempted to lob Conner Byrne a short time after that but the City keeper did well to flick the ball over the bar.
Later in the first half McConnell threatened again for the Eagles but his final effort was turned wide while play switched again for Tully to send a free-kick narrowly over from the edge of the box.
Gerard Storey almost broke the deadlock in favour of the Whites early in the second half only to see his shot strike the crossbar.
Then, later in the game, Ruairi Duffy was thwarted only by a wicked deflection before, right at the end, the home side hit the woodwork for a second time.
