ROESIDERS ON CLOUD NINE
Limavady United got the season off to a remarkable start with a nine-goal haul against Banbridge Town at The Showgrounds.
The Roesiders even fell behind early on when Conor Downey found the net for the visitors after just two minutes but two goals soon after from Ian Parkhill – one of four he scored on the day - set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
Joe McCready went on to hit a couple before the break, alongside Parkhill’s hat-trick goal and a Lewis Tosh strike. Parkhill then bagged his fourth early in the second half, with Tosh doubling up and John Butcher completing the scoring late on.
