SEAHAWKS HOLD ON AGAINST TEN-MAN STUDENTS
Portstewart got the better of Queen's University in a seven-goal thriller at The Dub.
The visitors moved in front as early as the 11th minute when Ryan Campbell converted from the spot, but Queen's levelled nine minutes later after Lorcan McIlroy bundled the ball home from a corner.
However Ryan Doherty restored Portstewart's lead moments after that before, on 33 minutes, Glenn Law made it 2-1 with a volley from outside the area.
The Students were reduced to ten men before the break after Ronan Young received his second caution of the game with Doherty then extending the lead for the visitors moments after the interval.
Ciaran O'Hare pulled one back for Queen's on 66 minutes, with Chris Middleton reducing the deficit even more with just over ten minutes to go but it wasn't enough to spark a late revival for James Lavery's men.
