HUGE WIN FOR SWANS AT CLANDEBOYE
Leaders Newington laid down a huge marker in the Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League title race with a five-goal defeat of second placed Bangor.
The win moves the Swans four points clear at the top with three games remaining.
They moved in front as early as the sixth minute when Jack Reilly sent a low shot past Matthew Anderson on the counter attack.
Bangor came close to levelling soon after through Ben Arthurs, with the same player seeing a later effort trickle just wide of the upright.
Newington doubled their advantage early in the second half when Patrick Downey finished at the back post with leading scorer Gary Warwick adding a third on 79 minutes.
Downey then added a fourth around sixty seconds after that, before Conal Burns rolled home a fifth in stoppage time.
