NEWINGTON CLOSE THE GAP
Newington moved to a couple of points off the top after a 5-2 victory over Moyola Park at Seaview.
The visitors broke the deadlock just before the half-hour mark through Oisin O'Mullan but this was cancelled out towards the end of the first half when Gary Warwick knocked home his 21st goal of the season.
Darren Stuart then edged the Swans in front not long after the interval, but it proved to be a short lived advantage as Jack Millar levelled for the visitors five minutes after that.
But two goals midway through the second half tipped the balance firmly in favour on 'Ton when first Stuart doubled his tally followed swiftly by a Ciaran Lundy finish.
And Lundy also bagged a brace towards the end when he completed the scoring with just three minutes remaining.
