McCABE SPOT-KICK GIVES DOLLYBIRDS THE EDGE
A Mark McCabe spot-kick was enough for Dollingstown to defeat title hopefuls Bangor at Clandeboye Park.
The 24-year-old knocked home what proved to be the only goal of the game after 12 minutes past keeper Matthew Anderson after Jonathan Doey had conceded the spot-kick with a foul.
Bangor attempted a quick response through Ben Arthurs but his effort fell just wide.
The remainder of the first half was a relatively quiet affair but the Seasiders turned the screw after the break in search of the equaliser.
Dollingstown keeper Gareth Buchanan did well to tip a Dylan O'Kane effort around the post before denying Arthurs soon after.
Indeed, that turned out to be the story of the second half when Buchanan later thwarted Kyle Woods and then Gareth Beattie while, in stoppage time, David Hume had one last chance only to drag his shot wide.
