WHITE CRUISE TO VICTORY AT MILL MEADOW
Lisburn Distillery swept to a comprehensive 4-1 defeat of Moyola Park at Mill Meadow.
The Whites moved in front after a quarter-of-an-hour through Michael O'Hanlon with an effort from distance which caught in the wind to deceive Moyola keeper Darren Harbinson.
The visitors doubled their advantage just a minute after that when Brendan Bennett laid the ball off for Mikey Withers to unleash an unstoppable effort into the net.
That was how it stayed until midway through the second half when Bennett got his name on the scoresheet via a slight deflection after a Caolan Conlan cross was cleared into his path.
And Bennett doubled his tally for the afternoon with eight minutes remaining following a period of pressure.
Moyola grabbed a late consolation through Daniel Barfoot who pounced on the rebound on 89 minutes after keeper Jonah Nicholl failed to hold onto an initial effort.
