SEVEN UP FOR SWANS AT SOLITUDE
Newington bagged a seven goal haul in a crushing defeat of PSNI at Solitude.
The Swans needed just eight minutes to open the scoring through Tiarnan McNicholl, with Conal Burns doubling up just after the half-hour mark.
Burns then added a third on 50 minutes before three goals in as many minutes from Gary Warwick, Richard Gowdy and substitute Ciaran Lundy put the game well beyond doubt.
Lundy then completed the rout with five minutes remaining as Newington made the most of Bangor's defeat at home to Lisburn Distillery to move into second spot.
