WOODS GIVES BANGOR THE EDGE
Bangor moved back into second spot with a one-goal victory over bottom of the table Tobermore United at Fortwilliam Park.
The Seasiders started brightly, coming close early on when Reece Neale fired a free-kick just past an upright, followed by a Karl Devine effort which was just a little too high.
Lewis Harrison then had a go from distance which home keeper Gareth Maguire gathered at the second attempt before Bangor eventually found a way through on 34 minutes when Kyle Woods headed home into the top corner.
Gareth Beattie might have made it 2-0 just before the break only to steer his effort just wide before, on the stroke of half-time, only a Matthew Anderson last ditch save prevented the home side from levelling.
Jack Upritchard might have doubled Bangor's lead in the second half when he found himself through on goal but Bangor held on to their advantage for the remainder of the game, only really come close to adding a second late on when new arrival Jordan Hughes fired just wide from around 30 yards.
