CITY MOVE BACK INTO POLE POSITION
Armagh City moved back to the top of the Premier Intermediate League with victory over morning leaders Newington at Holm Park.
With both sides enjoying periods of possession right from the start it eventually fell to the visitors to seize the advantage when, just before the half-hour mark, Gary Warwick opened the scoring.
Armagh thought they have levelled early in the second half but had the 'goal' ruled out offside before, on 56 minutes, Conor Mullen equalised with a low drive past Marc Maybin.
As the game progressed both sides pushed for the winner but, just as it looked like the points could be shared, substitute Ross Lavery popped up in the 90th minute to fire home City's winner.
