DOYLE ON TARGET AS SEASIDERS MISS OUT ON TOP SPOT
Bangor missed out on the chance to return to the top of the Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League after going down by a single goal at home to Banbridge Town.
The visitors moved in front with the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time when Kevin Anderson played Reece Doyle through to beat Matthew Anderson.
Bangor almost levelled during the first minute of the second half after Ben Arthurs headed just over from a corner.
The Seasiders worked hard to get back into the game with Gareth Beattie sending a half volley just a little too high, with David Hume seeing another attempt meet a similar fate.
Further chances followed through Karl Devine and Beattie again, while Michael Halliday also came close on a couple of occasions.
