TEN-MAN PSNI BAG LATE WINNER
PSNI defeated Tobermore United by the odd goal in five in this clash of the bottom two sides at The Dub.
The visitors got off to the perfect start when Eamon McAllister fired them in front as early as the second minute after connecting with Paul Smith's corner.
The home side responded positively to level just over ten minutes later through Kyle McDowell's superb strike from the edge of the area after Tony Tumelty rolled the ball into his path.
That was how it stayed until early in the second half when, once again, the sides traded goals. Paul Smith restored Tobermore's advantage on 52 minutes with a solo effort which took him past a number of defenders only for the PSNI to equalise moments after that courtesy of Jonathan Courtney's finish.
PSNI were reduced to ten men just before the hour following Marc Whitford's dismissal for bringing down Declan Martin as he was through on goal just outside the area.
However, the visitors failed to take advantage and, indeed, were punished right at the end of normal time when Matthew Hanna rose highest to nod home the winner from the edge of the six yard box.
