SEASIDERS SWEEP TO VICTORY AT PLANTERS PARK
Bangor swept to a comprehensive victory over Dollingstown at Planters Park to remain second in the standings.
The Seasiders came close to opening the scoring on 20 minutes when Dollingstown defender Conor McCaul headed against his own crossbar whilst attempting to clear a Reece Neale corner while, at the other end, Keith Johnston had the ball in the net but it was ruled out offside.
The deadlock was broken on the stroke of half-time after Ben Arthurs escaped his marker to head home Neale's corner.
Bangor doubled their advantage on 51 minutes courtesy of Mark Cooling's superb 30-yard free-kick delivered into the top corner with Michael Halliday adding a third not long after that when he pounced on the loose ball from another Neale set piece.
Dollingstown pulled a goal back just after the hour when Mark McCabe scored from the spot but, with ten minutes remaining, substitute Jack Wasson restored Bangor's three-goal cushion with a header from an Arthurs cross.
