WHITES MAKE IT TWO IN A ROW
Lisburn Distillery made it two wins - and two clean sheets - in a row with victory over second place Armagh City at New Grosvenor.
The Whites almost moved in front as early as the second minute when Michael O'Hanlon pounced on a defensive error but he could only turn his effort against an upright.
Stephen Sullivan then tried his luck from range only for his volleyed effort to go a little too high.
Scoreless at the break, the visitors came close to breaking the deadlock early in the second half through Andrew Wilson after he was found from a deep cross only to fire off target unmarked.
However, what proved to be Distillery's match winner came on 59 minutes courtesy of Nick Napier's finish after Caoelain Young's initial effort was cleared off the line.
O'Hanlon might have added a second soon after but his effort from Young's cross was well saved before Christian Irvine had a header cleared off the line.
Armagh came close to levelling on 67 minutes when Neill Kerr was found in space at the back post but the danger was eventually cleared.
At the other end Joseph Reid and Aaron Harris combined although the ball ultimately ended up in the side netting, followed a few minutes later by a Mikey Withers 'goal' but the referee had already stopped play and ruled it out.
The visitors ended the game with ten men following Scott McCann's 89th minute dismissal for violent conduct.
