POMEROY AT THE DOUBLE FOR ROESIDERS
Two Alex Pomeroy penalties helped Limavady United defeat PSNI at The Dub.
The Roesiders went into the game on a high following their midweek League Cup victory over Dungannon Swifts and moved in front on 25 minutes when Pomeroy converted from the spot after Kyle McCleery brought down Dean Brown.
The PSNI levelled just seven minutes later when Jordan Hutchings floated over a corner from the left straight into the net despite keeper Connor Brown getting a hand to the ball.
That was how it stayed until midway through the second half when Dean Brown was again upended and, again, Pomeroy stepped up to find the net.
However Pomeroy's joy was short lived when, 12 minutes later, he was dismissed after collecting a second booking of the game.
