McCAVITT DOUBLE MOVES BANBRIDGE JOINT TOP
Banbridge Town moved joint top of the Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League after coming from behind to defeat Armagh City at Holm Park.
The Eagles moved in front midway through the first half when Ruairi Duffy knocked the ball home from close range following Marc McConnell's cross from the right.
That was how it stayed until seven minutes into the second half when Stephen and Michael McCavitt combined on the counter attack for the latter to level matters.
Conor Mullen almost restored Armagh's lead around the hour mark but his header came back off an upright.
However, what proved to be the winner arrived with 20 minutes remaining. Referee Ryan Hanna awarded a spot-kick for handball with Michael McCavitt duly stepping up to convert to double his tally for the afternoon.
