Goals from Anthony McGonnell and Michael Gallagher helped Newington beat Banbridge Town at Crystal Park.
McGonnell opened the scoring for the Swans just before the half-hour mark, a lead they held until eight minutes into the second half when Stephen Greene headed Banbridge level from Conor Downey's corner.
But Newington needed just three minutes to regain the lead and secure the points when Michael Gallagher beat keeper Gregg Shannon to bring his tally for the season to eight goals in all competitions.
