DOLLYBIRDS HIT FIVE PAST BANBRIDGE
Dollingstown moved into fifth spot in the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League with a crushing defeat of Banbridge Town at Planters Park.
Keith Johnston opened the scoring for the Dollybirds with a nice finish on eight minutes before Richard Thompson bagged the first of his two goals just before the half-hour mark with a half volley from the edge of the box after Johnston had supplied the cross.
And Johnston played a big part in Dollingstown's third goal on the stroke of half-time when he delivered the ball for Nathan McConnell to head past Gerard McErlean.
That was how it stayed until the 79th minute when a deep cross was knocked back in the area for Thompson to double his tally.
Gary Liggett knocked home Dollingstown's fifth with two minutes remaining before, right at the end, Jack McCreanor earned a late consolation for Banbridge.
