DOLLINGSTOWN SEND ANNAGH TO FIRST DEFEAT
Dollingstown brought Annagh United's perfect start to the campaign to a half with victory at Planters Park.
Indeed, it was the second Saturday in a row that Stephen Uprichard's side had defeated their Portadown based opponents following on from a 5-1 win in the Bob Radcliffe Cup a week earlier.
Scoreless at half-time, Gary Liggett opened the scoring with a rifled finish into the top corner after Aaron Rogers and Keith Johnston had combined to create the opportunity.
Then, with eight minutes to go, Johnston doubled Dollingstown's lead with a curling effort low into the net.
Jackson Holmes pulled one back for Annagh in stoppage time with a smart finish from the edge of the area but it was too late to salvage anything.
