MATCH BALL FOR LIGGETT AS DOLLINGSTOWN HIT FIVE
Gary Liggett claimed the match ball with a hat-trick in Dollingstown's comprehensive 5-0 win over Limavady United at The Showgrounds.
Aaron Moffett created the first effort of note on 12 minutes with a header wide from a free-kick while, at the other end later in the half, the Dollingstown woodwork was rattled when the Roesiders struck the outside of a post after a long ball split the defence.
Limavady were reduced to ten men on 41 minutes when Ryan Doherty received his second caution in three minutes for a reckless challenge.
Dollingstown took immediate advantage when Liggett knocked home his first on the stroke of half-time with a drive from inside the area after Keith Johnston had pulled the ball back.
Johnston got on the scoresheet himself just after the hour when he was quickest to react to a loose ball from a free-kick.
Liggett made it 3-0 with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when he got on the end of a long clearance to beat Connor Brown before substitute John Kernaghan added a fourth soon after with a cool finish following a team move.
And Liggett wrapped things up with five minutes left with another finish from a long ball.
