SEAHAWKS BAG THREE AT MULLAGHACALL
Portstewart cruised to their first win of the season with victory over Banbridge Town at Seahaven on the opening day of the new Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League campaign.
After making exits in both the North-West and League Cup earlier in the month it was important for the Seahawks to hit the ground running once the league began, and they did that after just nine minutes when Mark Edgar opened the scoring.
That was how it stayed until just before the hour when Ryan Doherty doubled Portstewart's lead with an own goal by Banbridge's Jack Clarke completing the scoring with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
