ALL SQUARE AT MILL MEADOW
Four goals, three penalties and two red cards told the story of this league opener between Moyola Park and Armagh City at Mill Meadow.
Chris Dowie opened the scoring for Moyola just before the half-hour mark when he found the net after a corner caused a scramble in the City goalmouth.
They extended their advantage on 65 minutes when Tiarnan Rafferty knocked home the first spot-kick of the game after City keeper Daniel Devine had upended a forward in the box.
City player manager Shea Campbell pulled one back for the Eagles with ten minutes remain, again from the spot.
With five minutes remaining Campbell was brought down in the box by Moyola keeper Dwayne Nelson, with both being sent off following an altercation immediately after the incident.
When the dust settled Shea Geraghty stepped up to knock home the third penalty of the afternoon to ensure the points were shared.
