Conor Kearns (52p)
Conor Kearns (80p)

Stephen Doyle (10)
Conal Burns (30)

Two Conor Kearns penalties saw Tobermore United come from behind to earn a point from Newington's visit to Fortwilliam Park.

Newington moved in front as early as the 10th minute through Stephen Doyle after he tapped home from close range despite United 'keeper Andy Findlay initially doing well to push away a shot from a corner.

The Swans doubled their lead on the half hour mark. A low cross in from the right hand side was met by the sliding foot of the Conal Burns on the edge of the box and it ended up in the bottom corner of the net.

Newington almost made it 3-0 in the 49th minute but Findlay produced an excellent save with his foot to deny Gary Rafferty from close range.

Tobermore's fightback began on 52 minutes when Kearns converted from the spot after the industrious Neil Lamont was upended in the box.

They pushed forward on numerous occasions after this, perhaps sensing the equaliser before eventually securing it with ten minutes left with Kearns' second penalty, this time awarded for a foul on Andrew Laughlin.
