Two Robbie Hume penalties helped the Roesiders to victory over Tobermore United at The Showgrounds.

He opened the scoring after eight minutes after he had been upended by defender Marc Harkness as he burst into the area, and duly punished the visitors with a low finish low to Matthew McGraw's right.

Tobermore might have levelled soon after when Stephen Lamont's cross from the right was tipped onto the crossbar by 'keeper Paul Wells.

However, Limavady extended their lead on 21 minutes with Hume's second spot-kick of the game, this time awarded after Jordan Thompson was tripped just inside the area.

The visitors came close again just before the break with a Glenn Law free-kick from around 20 yards blazing just over.

Hume might have had his hat-trick just before the hour only to fail to find the net after being teed up by Paul Owens while he did well a short time later only to see his effort turned away for a corner.
