Lukasz Adamczyk bagged a double as he helped the PSNI to a sweeping victory over HW Welders at Newforge.

He opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a composed finish after getting on the end of a Paul McDowell back heel.

The PSNI continued to press with only the exploits of Welders 'keeper Samuel Johnston keeping the score down.

However, that changed just before the hour when Adamczyk doubled his tally - and grabbed his tenth goal of the campaign - after Joe McWilliams delivered an excellent cross from the right.

McDowell might have added a third only to see a lob come back off the Welders crossbar before, on 78 minutes, Stuart Hutchinson did make it 3-0, collecting the ball deep in his own half and embarking on a solo run which brought him to the edge of the area before unleashing an unstoppable effort into the back of the net.

The Welders did get a consolation goal in the 82nd minute when some poor home defending allowed Scott Davidson to score from close range at the far post.
