Warrenpoint Town extended their lead at the top of the table to six points with this Boxing Day defeat of PSNI at Milltown.

There were few chances in a scoreless first half with Jordan Dane perhaps coming closest when he directed a header straight at PSNI 'keeper Jordan Williamson from a good position while Lorcan Forde fired narrowly wide from 18 yards.

After the break, Mark McCullagh did have the ball in the net for the visitors but this was ruled out following an infringement on 'keeper Johnny Parr.

The deadlock was eventually broken just after the hour when John McGuigan laid the ball off for Forde to slot beyond Williamson.

Then, on 77 minutes, McGuigan was involved again in teeing up Stephen Murray to slide the ball below the 'keeper.

And Murray doubled his tally soon after to put the game beyond doubt with a rasping effort from the edge of the box.
