BLUEFIN SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW: 3/4 NOVEMBER

There is another busy weekend of football in the BlueFin Sport Championship, writes Aaron O'Neill.

First up on Friday night, Newry City welcome H&W Welders to The Showgrounds. Both sides will be looking to get back to winning ways as Newry drew with Limavady United and the Welders suffered a defeat last time out.

On Saturday, title challengers Institute entertain Portadown at Wilton Park in what should be a closely fought affair. Stute currently sit third in the table, well in touch with league leaders Ballyclare Comrades. Portadown have struggled to date finding it hard to adapt to life in the Championship, they currently languish in eighth.

League leaders Ballyclare Comrades will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways this weekend as they prepare to face Dergview. It’s a top versus bottom battle as the Comrades find themselves a point clear at the top of the table, whilst Dergview are just a point from the dropzone.

PSNI play Lurgan Celtic this weekend knowing a win will lift them above their opponents. Larne welcome Loughgall to Inver Park. Tiernan Lynch’s side find themselves at the foot of the table despite a few good results in recent weeks but they will be fully aware of the task in hand during Saturday’s contest with high flying Loughgall.

Limavady United welcome second placed Knockbreda to The Showgrounds on Saturday. The visitors currently sit a point behind the league leaders Ballyclare. United will be aiming to continue their run of good results and cause an upset this weekend.
