Matthew Ferguson opened the scoring for Bangor

HW Welders and Bangor both picked up another three points each as they continue to lead the way at the top of the Playr-Fit Championship.

The Welders, leaders on goal difference, returned to winning ways with victory over Newry City by the odd goal in three at the Blanchflower Stadium.

Tiarnan O’Connor was the star of the show with a goal early in each half, opening the scoring after just four minutes after intercepting a poor backpass and doubling up not long after the break with a powerful left-foot effort.

Newry pulled one back in stoppage time when Ryan McNickle converted from the spot.

Bangor came from behind at Dixon Park to get past Ballyclare Comrades.

The Seasiders did take an early lead with Matthew Ferguson’s seventh minute opener but this was cancelled out soon after by Darius Roohi who then edged the Comrades in front just before the break.

Reece Neale levelled for the visitors midway through the second half, with Ben Arthurs popping up with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining to snatch the winner.

Rodney Brown hit a stoppage time equaliser as Limavady United grabbed a late point away to Annagh United.

Annagh had led Aaron Rogers’ opener moments from the break, but just as it looked like they had done enough for the points up popped Brown in the 95th minute.

Dundela, tied in third spot with the Roesiders, picked up a point away to Newington.

Michael McLellan fired the Duns in front after just ten minutes, but Paul Donnelly levelled for the Swans later in the first half.

Conor Mullen scored twice as Armagh City picked up an excellent win away to Ballinamallard United.

He opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark, with Ugo Anny-Nzekwue heading home a second ten minutes after the interval.

Mullen then doubled his tally for the afternoon from a Shea Geraghty free-kick later in the second half, with Darragh Stewart bagging a late consolation for the Mallards.

Meanwhile, at Clandeboye Park, it ended scoreless between Ards and Institute.
