Ballyclare Comrades, Ards and Institute were the big winners from a reduced weekend of Playr-Fit Championship action.
Darius Roohi hit two goals as the Comrades defeated Newry City 3-1 at Dixon Park.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark when he ran onto a Michael Morgan through ball to take the ball round keeper Conor Mitchell and into the net.
He doubled up a couple of minutes from the break after getting the final touch to Caolan Donnelly’s free-kick while Liam Hassin added a third moments after the interval.
Adam Carroll reduced the deficit not long after that but there proved to be no way back for the visitors.
Conor Scannell also bagged a brace as Ards got the better of Armagh City by the same scoreline at Clandeboye Park.
Connor Maxwell broke the deadlock as early as the ninth minute with a free-kick from around 20 yards, with Scannell adding Ards’ second midway through the first half from Ross Hunter’s ball.
Scannell extended Ards’ lead early in the second period with a deflected finish at the back post with James McCormack knocking home a consolation for the Eagles later in the game.
Meanwhile, at Inver Park, a Mikhail Kennedy free-kick after just 12 minutes was enough for Institute to get the better of bottom of the table Newington.
Elsewhere the Annagh United-Dundela clash on Friday evening was abandoned due to the foggy conditions at the BMG Arena.
