The Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League roared back into action with victories for Dollingstown, Oxford Sunnyside, Warrenpoint Town, Ballymacash Rangers and Banbridge Town.

Dollingstown continue to lead the charge at the top with a 3-0 defeat of Portstewart at Mullaghacall to make it five wins from five so far this campaign.

Aaron Duke fired the Dollybirds in front after just six minutes, with Jordan Campbell doubling up with his first goal for the club nine minutes from the break. Daniel Gordon then completed the scoring with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.

Oxford Sunnyside occupy second spot in the table after they got past Coagh United by the odd goal in three at Hagan Park.

Callum Ferris handed the visitors the early advantage after nine minutes, but this was cancelled out just before the half-hour mark by Zach Ferson. But the Oxford’s winner came via Craig Smith with just over ten minutes of normal time remaining.

Third placed Warrenpoint Town defeated Tobermore United 3-1 on the road, and they did so after playing most of the game with ten men following Christopher Crane’s early dismissal for a foul on the edge of the area.

Michael Leddy edged ‘Point in front just before the break with a finish into the far corner from Diarmuid O’Hanlon’s lay-off, with O’Hanlon getting on the scoresheet himself early in the second half with a dink over the keeper.

Daniel McIlhatton pulled one back for Tobermore on 73 minutes, but Rory Powell restored Warrenpoint’s two-goal cushion just a couple of minutes after that.

Ballymacash Rangers hit six goals without reply past Queen’s University at The Dub.

Adam Neale slotted home the opening goal after just two minutes after the ball had come back off an upright, with Benny Igiehon adding a second midway through the first half following some pinball in the box.

Jordan Morrison made it 3-0 five minutes after the break with a header from a corner, following swiftly by Anto Burns’ finish on the follow up from a Dylan Sinnerton effort.

Igiehon doubled his tally just short of the hour with a calm finish past keeper Neil Shields, with Liam Toman completing the scoring at the back post in the closing stages.

Banbridge Town got the better of Rathfriland Rangers in the derby at Iveagh Park, with Stephen McCavitt grabbing the only goal of the game from the spot after the break.

Meanwhile, at Ballyskeagh, Lisburn Distillery came from behind to share the spoils with Knockbreda.

Fra Nolan opened the scoring for ‘Breda on 57 minutes after converting a cross from the right, but the Whites hit back six minutes from time through an Adam McCart header from Josh Lynch’s free-kick.
