Club representatives from the NIFL Premiership Sub-Division met tonight to confirm rescheduling of fixtures and subsequent arrangements for the final rounds of the 2023/24 Sports Direct Premiership season.
Following requests from clubs, two Sports Direct Premiership matches have subsequently been rescheduled due to international call-ups.
Carrick Rangers v Linfield (23 March) and Cliftonville v Larne (25 March) will both now be played on Tuesday 2 April 2024.
The four remaining fixtures on Saturday 23 March (Matchday 33) will remain as scheduled.
As a result of these fixture changes, amendments to the ‘post-split’ schedule have now been agreed by clubs.
- Matchday 34 will be played on the weekend of Saturday 6 April 2024
- Matchday 35 will be played on the weekend of Saturday 13 April 2024
- Matchday 36 will be played on Tuesday 16 April 2024
- Matchday 37 will be played on the weekend of Saturday 20 April 2024
- Matchday 38 (final round) will be played on Saturday 27 April 2024 (5.30pm kick-offs)
In addition, should the top six and bottom six clubs in the Premiership be confirmed following the conclusion of fixtures on Saturday 23 March 2024, the ‘post-split’ fixture schedule will be determined and announced based on current positions at that time, to support club match planning and operations.
In the event of the top six and bottom six clubs not being confirmed on the above date, the ‘post-split’ fixtures will be determined and announced following the conclusion of the two rescheduled fixtures on Tuesday 2 April.
