Playr-Fit Championship side Dergview have parted company with manager Emmet Friars, the club has announced.

Revealing the news on their social media channels, a statement said: "Dergview Football Club has taken the decision to relieve 1st team manager Emmet Friars from his position.

"We wish to thank Emmet for his hard work, dedication and professionalism whilst in charge of the 1st team and wish him all the best for the future."

Friars was appointed to the role in October following the departure of Tommy Canning, but despite getting his tenure off to a winning start with victory over Newington only guided them to another two league victories in the 20 Championship games that followed leaving them second from bottom and five points adrift from escaping a potential relegation play-off.
