The jockeying for positions continued after a big weekend of results in the Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League as the finishing line comes into sight.

Limavady United lead the way following a 3-2 defeat of Moyola Park at The Showgrounds.

The Roesiders moved in front after 12 minutes through Graham Crown, and doubled their advantage ten minutes later when Alex Pomeroy converted from the spot.

Pomeroy struck again eight minutes into the second half to seemingly kill the game off but the visitors hit back with what appeared to be a consolation through Lee McLaughlin just after the hour.

Kenny Shiels' side then struck again courtesy of Alex Doherty nine minutes from time to set up a tense finish, but Limavady held on to claim the points.

Shea Campbellā€™s Armagh City are just a point behind, and made it three wins in a row with victory over Tobermore United at Fortwilliam Park.

The Eagles moved in front through Jordan King with a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock, and he struck again to double up just 16 minutes after that.

That was how it stayed until Igor Rutkowski added a third three minutes from time, with United bagging a last gasp consolation through Rhys O'Mullan.

Rathfriland Rangers, in third, lost some ground after going down 3-1 at home to Coagh United.

The visitors needed just three minutes to move in front when Fiontan O'Boyle struck to open the scoring, a lead they held until just before the half-hour mark when Ruari Fitzpatrick levelled for Rangers.

However Aaron Campbell restored Coagh's lead just a few minutes after that before, on the hour, Lee McMenemy made sure of the points for Mervyn Pattison's side.

Ballymacash Rangers continued their push after defeating Banbridge Town at Crystal Park.

'Cash moved in front on 12 minutes when Michael Moore directed the ball past keeper Ben Purvis but Banbridge hit back just after the half hour mark when Michael McCavitt converted from the spot.

Rangers bossed the second half and eventually grabbed what proved to be the winner when substitute Aaron Duke headed home with ten minutes remaining.
