Cliftonville will face either Latvian or Faroese opposition in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.

The Reds have been paired with either FK Auda or B36 Torshavn following today's draw in Nyon, Switzerland and must wait until the outcome of that first qualifying round tie before destination becomes clear.

FK Auda are relative newcomers to the European stage, having made their debut last season after winning the Latvian Cup the year before, losing 5-2 to Spartak Trnava in the Conference League.

They finished third in the Virsliga last season, and currently sit fifth this term after 18 games.

B36, by contrast, are seasoned campaigners at this level and, in the last few seasons, have regularly progressed through several rounds of competition.

Indeed, last year they reached the Conference League third qualifying round after accounting for Estonian and Welsh opposition.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland's other European representatives also learned the identities of their potential opposition should they progress from their respective ties.

Larne, yesterday paired with Latvian side FC RFS in the Champions League, will face Norwegian title holders FK Bodø/Glimt while, if they lose, they will receive a bye straight into the Conference League third qualifying round as a 'lucky loser'.

And, in the Conference League itself, Crusaders - tasked with getting past Welsh side Caernarfon Town - could lock horns with Polish giants Legia Warsaw while Linfield, should they defeat Iceland's Stjarnan, will come up against either Bala Town (Wales) or Estonia's Paide Linnameeskond.
