Linfield Women are in Avenir Sports All Island Cup action this weekend when they take on Wexford in the quarter-finals at Midgley Park on Saturday, kick-off 2pm.

Ryan McConville's side qualified for the last eight - the only Women's Premiership side to do so - after topping Group A.

The Blues kicked their campaign off with a 2-2 draw away to League of Ireland champions Peamount United with Keri Halliday twice finding the net on the outskirts of Dublin.

That was followed by victory over Bohemians back at Midgley Park. Sarah McKevitt had edged the Bohs in front early in the second half but a Bernadette Ferreira equaliser and an Orlagh Fitzpatrick own goal saw Linfield come through to claim the points.

They then rounded off the group stages with an emphatic defeat of Lisburn Ladies.

Eve Reilly was the star of the show with a quick fire second half hat-trick after the sides had gone in at the break scoreless. Ferreira added to Linfield's tally soon after, with Eve Myles and Halliday also getting on the scoresheet later in the game.

Linfield go into the game on the back of an impressive five-goal league victory over Crusaders Strikers last week. Reilly produced another stand out performance with another hat-trick, while Zoe Knox also found the net.

Opponents Wexford came through a strong group that included Shelbourne, Cork City and last seasons losing finalists, Cliftonville Ladies.

They currently sit fourth in the Premier Division, having defeated DLR Waves 3-1 in their most recent outing.
