Crusaders and Linfield today found out the identities of their opponents for the First Qualifying Round of the 2024/25 edition of the UEFA Conference League.
The Crues were presented with just a short hop across the Irish Sea to take on Welsh club Caernarfon Town, while the Blues will have to travel north to face Icelandic outfit Stjarnan.
Both Crusaders and Linfield are due to be away in the first legs, currently scheduled for July 11th, before welcoming their respective opponents back to Belfast seven days later.
Exact dates and kick-off times for all games will be confirmed in the coming days, and supporters are strongly advised not to book any travel until then.
Caernarfon finished fifth in last season's Cymru Premier, and only qualified for what will be their debut on the European stage four weeks ago following play-off victories over Penybont and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Stjarnan make their return to Europe for the first time in three years, when they exited the Conference League at the hands of Dublin side Bohemians also in the first qualifying round.
They finished third in the 2023 edition of the Úrvalsdeild, and currently sit seventh out of 12 teams in the current season after ten games. They have also reached the semi-finals of the Icelandic Cup.
