The Playr-Fit Premier Intermediate League continued with victories for Warrenpoint Town, Rathfriland Rangers, Tobermore United, Moyola Park and Banbridge Town.

The only draw of the weekend saw Portstewart share the spoils with leaders Limavady United at Mullaghacall.

Lewis Nevin opened the scoring for the Seahawks as early as the second minute with a low, right-foot effort from just outside the area.

The Roesiders might have levelled soon after only for Ian Parkhill’s spot-kick to be saved, but they did equalise just before the half-hour mark through Lewis Tosh.

With second placed Queen’s University not in action due to the postponement of their trip to Coagh United it was an opportunity for Armagh City to leapfrog them only for Shea Campbell’s side to go down 3-0 at home to Banbridge Town.

Reece Doyle rounded keeper Conner Byrne to open the scoring on 17 minutes, with Stephen McCavitt heading home from a corner later in the first half before Andrew Martin completed the scoring not long after the interval.

Warrenpoint Town returned to winning ways with a two-goal defeat of Lisburn Distillery at Milltown.

Both goals came early in the game with Rory Powell kicking the scoring off on seven minutes with a tap in from a rebound while Declan Loye added a second a quarter-of-an-hour later after pouncing on a goalkeeping error.

Moyola Park made it two wins on the bounce with a narrow defeat of Ballymacash Rangers after Lee McLaughlin bagged the only goal of the game in the second half at the Showgrounds.

At the Dub Tobermore United swept to a three-goal victory over PSNI. Gary Keane grabbed the only goal of the first half on 33 minutes, which was how it stayed until the closing stages when goals from Michael Tolan and Jack Patton secured the points for the visitors.

Meanwhile, on Friday night, Rathfriland Rangers defeated Dollingstown at Planters Park thanks to an Andy Kilmartin spot-kick in stoppage time.
