Bangor and Limavady United continue to lead the way at the top of the Playr-Fit Championship following a stormy weekend of action that also produced victories for Ballyclare Comrades and Ballinamallard United.
The Seasiders stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a two-goal defeat of Newington at Inver Park on Friday night.
Both goals came right at the end of each half with Matthew Ferguson breaking the deadlock on the stroke of half-time after sliding the ball into the net from Ben Arthurs' lay-off across the box.
And that was how it stayed until deep into added time when Scott McArthur fired high into the net following some great work from Max Davidson down the left to double Bangor's slender lead.
Limavady United are ten points behind in second spot, but they swept to a 3-0 home win over struggling Newry City on Saturday afternoon.
The Roesiders led at the break when, midway through the first half, Lewis Tosh headed home following a deflection from a free-kick.
That was how it stayed, however, until the closing minutes when the home side hit two goals to kill the game off.
Adam Mullan doubled their advantage on 83 minutes to secure the points, with substitute Ian Parkhill adding the third from the spot deep into added time.
Ballyclare Comrades picked up the only away win of the weekend after coming from behind to claim all three points from their visit to face Armagh City at Holm Park.
The Eagles took just ten minutes to seize the advantage after Igor Rutkowski ran onto a ball over the top to slot the finish underneath keeper Adam Ritchie.
But the visitors hit back after half-an-hour when Caolan Donnelly sent over a corner for Darius Roohi to head beyond the reach of Conner Byrne.
Then, four minutes from the break, Donnelly turned provider again with another corner with skipper Cillin Gilmour making the connection to nod into the net.
An early goal proved enough for Ballinamallard United to get the better of Ards at Clandeboye Park.
What proved to be the only goal of the game arrived after just nine minutes on the counter attack after Ards lost possession despite being on the offensive with Daniel Barker running clear to make no mistake with his finish past Alex Moore.
The Dundela-Institute game was abandoned after an hour due to a floodlight failure at Wilgar Park.
Meanwhile, just two Premier Intermediate League games survived.
Two Eddie Shaw goals helped Ballymacash Rangers come from behind to defeat Dergview at the Bluebell Stadium on Friday.
The visitors got off to an ideal start when, as early as the second minute, Paul Smith ran onto a long ball forward and pounced on a defensive error before showing perseverance to slot the ball past keeper Brian Neeson.
However 'Cash hit back to level after a quarter-of-an-hour courtesy of Shaw's first of the evening, a great first time finish past Dylan Doherty.
And that was how it stayed until ten minutes after the break when the 26-year-old popped up again to bag what proved to be the winner.
Elsewhere, on Saturday, Coagh United and Portstewart shared the goals at Hagan Park.
The home side moved in front nine minutes before half-time after Joshua Busteed cut the ball into the net from the six yard box after receiving a pass from the left.
Portstewart levelled just a couple of minutes after the break, however, through Alex Machado but Coagh restored their advantage midway through the second half when Zach Ferson diverted the ball past Reece Oliver inside the area.
But the Seahawks hit back right at the end of proceedings courtesy of Conor Donnelly's finish to earn a share of the spoils.
