Larne still have it all to play for in their attempt to reach the group stages of the UEFA Conference League.
Tiernan Lynch's side lost 2-1 in Faro, Portugal to Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar but can still turn the tie around in next week's return leg at Inver Park.
All the scoring came in the first half, with Larne moving in front on 16 minutes courtesy of a superb Matthew Lusty strike which, from 30 yards out, twice struck the bar and fell just over the line.
However, the 'home' side responded positively when Tjay De Barr turned an effort against the post before Kike Gomez levelled after being played through by Joe.
Then, three minutes from the break, Joe edged Red Imps in front after connecting with a right-sided free-kick to turn the ball home from six yards.
The second half was a much more cautious affair, although both sides had chances in the latter stages with Lusty flicking the ball on for Andy Ryan only for his effort to roll just the wrong side of the far post.
Moments later, at the other end, Brito get past the Larne defence to test Rohan Ferguson with a snapshot but the Larne keeper proved equal to the threat.
