It has proved to be quite a few days for Cliftonville midfielder Danielle Maxwell on the international stage!

The 21-year-old striker wasn't originally named in Tanya Oxtoby's squad for Northern Ireland's double header with Hungary in the UEFA Women's Nations League but was called up as a replacement for Solitude team-mate Kirsty McGuinness, who had to pull out after picking up an injury in the recent Irish Cup final.

Maxwell was named in the starting XI for the first game in Hungary on Friday evening, and despite Northern Ireland suffering an agonising last minute defeat, was named 'Player of the Match' for her performance in difficult playing conditions.

And although five changes were made ahead of Tuesday night's return at Seaview Maxwell not only kept her place but went onto bag a stunning equaliser for Northern Ireland with 11 minutes remaining!

Danielle was one of over a dozen Sports Direct Women's Premiership stars to play their part in the two games.

She was joined by her fellow Cliftonville Ladies team-mates Rachel Norney, Abbie Magee, Kelsie Burrows, Marissa Callaghan and Caitlin McGuinness alongside a strong representation from champions Glentoran Women namely Demi Vance, Joely Andrews, Nadene Caldwell (captain for both games), Chloe McCarron, Kerry Beattie and Emily Wilson as well Mid-Ulster Ladies keeper Lilie Woods.
