Ali Omar has been unveiled as Larne's second signing of the summer after making the switch from National League side Torquay United.
The 23-year-old defender arrives at Inver Park after a couple of years at Plainmoor during which he clocked up in excess of 50 appearances for The Gulls. Prior to that he spent time with Queen's Park Rangers, Barnsley and Stevenage.
Larne boss Tiernan Lynch said of his latest acquisition: "Ali is another player we have targeted to bring to the club. He has the profile of the type of player we are looking for.
"He’s young, still developing, and comes having played professionally through his career so far, with good senior experience at National League level," he told the official club website.
"We’re really pleased to bring him in at this relatively early stage of pre-season for him to get to know how we work and for him to get plenty of time with the squad ahead of the Helsinki game in three weeks time.”
Although not a new signing, Glentoran were pleased to announce that Bobby Burns had signed a new contract with the club.
The defender has been a mainstay at The Oval since his return a couple of years ago but had been the subject of interest to several cross channel clubs since the end of the season.
Glentoran's recently appointed boss, Warren Feeney, said: "I know what an important player Bobby was to Glentoran last season so I’m more than pleased to get this over the line.
"He’s had interest form some very good clubs this summer but he’s had a good time here and is completely bought into what we’re trying to achieve here in terms of greater professionalism and success on the pitch."
Elsewhere, Max Haygarth signed a new one year extension with Linfield while Bangor announced that Reece Neale has signed on at Clandeboye Park for another two seasons.
