Kealan Dillon is the latest new face to join Dungannon Swifts in what has been a summer of change on and off the pitch at Stangmore Park.

The 29-year-old midfielder signed for the Swifts having spent the last three-and-a-half years with Warrenpoint Town.

Swifts boss Rodney McAree spoke of his delight at teaming up with the midfielder again: "I worked with Kealan at Warrenpoint and know what we’re getting. He has a great attitude and technically he’s very good.

"Kealan will add good creativity to the team and I look forward to working with him again."

Dillon is the fourth new signing at the club in addition to the previously announced arrivals of Conor Mitchell (Warrenpoint Town), Chris Hegarty (Crusaders) and Niall Owens (Bakersfield).

In addition Adam Glenny (Annagh United) and James Convie (Armagh City) are back at Stangmore Park after a period on loan elsewhere while new contracts have been confirmed with Dean Curry and James Knowles.

And a Swifts old boy, Terry Devlin, has taken a major career progression move with a switch to EFL League One side Portsmouth after a season with Glentoran.

The Northern Ireland U21 international has signed a three-year deal at Fratton Park, with an option of a further year.

Another former Swifts player, Douglas Wilson, is also on the move after leaving Ballymena United to join Portadown.

Wilson, 29, has spent the previous two years with Ballymena United after being at the Swifts for the seven seasons prior to that and arrives at Shamrock Park to team up with former team-mates Paul McElroy, Ross Redman, Ryan Mayse and Caolin Coyle.

The Markethill man said of the move: "I’m delighted to sign for Portadown, hearing the plans that Niall has for the place made it an easy decision to come here.

"Portadown are a massive club with great fans and I’m looking forward to getting in and starting pre-season."

Meanwhile, Dundela has acquired the signature of Keegan Rice from Northern Amateur League outfit Derriaghy CC.

The midfielder has previously been on the books of both Linfield and Warrenpoint Town.
