Warrenpoint Town striker Adam Carroll is the Championship Player of the Month for January.

Carroll bagged a staggering nine goals in the month including a hat-trick against Ards in a 5-3 thriller.

It's the second time the Newry native has collected the monthy award. He won the Februrary 2022 prize while on loan at Annagh United from Linfield.

Carroll said: "It's an honour to win the this trophy twice in 12 months. I'd like to thank the Football Writers' for picking me.

"I'm really enjoying my time at Warrenpoint Town. We're playing well and I'm scoring goals.

"Our aim is to win promotion this season. It's a tough league with both Loughgall and Annagh United playing well, but we're in great form at the moment and full of confidence."
