Ards FC have announced the departure of manager Matthew Tipton.

The Playr-Fit Championship side released the news in a statement issued on their website and social media channels:-

"Ards Football Club has parted company with first team manager Matthew Tipton," it read.

"The former Warrenpoint Town and Portadown boss was appointed as manager in February 2022, guiding Ards to a fifth and seventh placed finishes in the Championship.

"Ards chairman Warren Patton said: “I would like to thank Matthew for his efforts over the last two years. I have enjoyed working with him, however we felt that it was time for a change in direction.

"Everyone connected with the club wishes Matthew well for the future."
