Northern Ireland international Emily Wilson is the Women's Danske Bank Premiership Player of the Month for September.

The Crusaders Strikers star scored five goals in the month as the North Belfast club moved up to third in the league and booked their place in the semi-finals of the Irish Cup.

She said: "I won my first Football Writers' award two seasons ago so it's nice to get another one. I'd like to thank the Writers' and their sponsors Danske Bank.

"September was a good month for us as a team. We were getting great service up front from the team which is always good for a forward.

"We had hard games and got a draw against Glentoran which was great. Hopefully we can take that form into the split now and build upon it. This season the league is so competitive, there are no easy games."
